Thesis title: Muslim women, Islamic Feminism, and Secular Feminism.
I am a Master’s candidate in Islamic Governance. Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a penchant for social justice. If there were any injustice (especially against women), I would be among the first people to mark it red underline. When I was in my final year of undergraduate studies, we learnt a module called Gender and Development. Learning about discrimination different kinds of women in the world face triggered my interest in injustice, especially one that is still prevalent in Brunei’s society. This has driven me to pursue my study to the Master’s level and do research on women and governance.
