Thesis title: Islamic Governance as Synergist to Sustainable Waste Management in Brunei
Fathin Khairunnisa is currently doing her first year of Master in Islamic Governance (By Research) program. Her previous experiences mostly revolved around community causes and volunteerism, particularly in the humanitarian and environmental sectors. During her undergraduate studies, she did her internship at Megamas Training Company for four months prior to serving at Mercy Relief in Singapore for another four. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies with a First Class Honours in 2019. She worked at Green Depot, a local recycling hub, as a Project Officer for about a year before deciding to resign. From her experiences, she witnessed the need for further research in the local waste management field, particularly from the Islamic Governance approach.
